The Fault In Our Stars movie review and FEELS

Napkin, movie ticket, I am ready for the feels…

Last night, I got the amazing chance to watch The Fault In Our Stars movie because I won tickets for a special premiere screening. The movie is based on the book with the same name by the amazing John Green. Being a fan of the book I was beyond happy for this movie, and after watching it I am a fan of the film too.

The movie is about teenagers with cancer who helplessly fall in love with each other and live an amazing love story. The word “OKAY” will never feel the same.

The TFIOS movie sums up the book really well. If you cried reading the book, you will cry watching the movie. The movie is a roller coaster for feelings, and it captures the essence of the book including your favorite scenes from the book.

Shailene Woodley, who plays Hazel Grace was amazing. I was watching Hazel all the time, not the actress. She lived up the character 100% and she made me feel what Hazel was feeling all the time.

Ansel Elgort, Augustus Waters, was so amazing! That kid with the suit looks so handsome. I really liked how he played Gus, everything was there. The best part of that character is that as his most painful moments he managed to smile and live the best of his life. Ansel really made me feel that.

*Book/Movie Spoiler* : The trophy destruction scene is in the movie! Because Issac was Issac and Nat Wolf did a great job portraying that character we all loved. And I can’t wait to see him playing Quentin in Paper Towns.

If you never read the book you won’t enjoy this movie as much as I did. There are jokes and stuff that only the people who read the book will understand. And because it’s a movie with kids with cancer doesn’t mean you can’t laugh. The movie is great and I am thankful for the people who made my favorite book into a movie, and for John Green for being my author hero.

9/10 stars.

Because they changed the last words of the book.
