I just finished reading Love Letters To The Dead by Ava Dellaria. The reason I wanted to read this book in the first place was because it was recommended by the author of The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, so I gave it chance. I finished this book wiping off the tears from my face, but it doesnt have a sad ending, on contrary.
In this book Laurel, writes letters to celebrities that passed away, narrating what is happening in her life and expressing her feelings. While she writes them she’s figuring out herself and trying to get over her beloved sister,May, passing. We meet her new friends who are also going through their own issues. This book is a celebration of friendship and family, and also a praise for celebrities that left a mark in this world. I simply loved this book. It’s the kind of book that you feel that speaks to you and you feel it was meant to be read when it was meant to.
I must add, Love Letters To The Dead, it not a book for everyone, I recommend you read a preview or something so you don’t feel like you wasted your money. I like the sort of depressing books that speaks to me and open new windows in my heart.
PS: THIS BOOK MENTIONS A FEW SONGS, YOU BETTER LISTEN TO THEM AS MENTIONED. IT JUST MAKE THE EXPERIENCE BETTER.
